Bento "Window Shopping"

Well I am feeling a bit better today. Went to the doctor appointment in Portland. Beforehand I don't eat, do an enema (sorry), and take a pain pill so that the exam is bearable. So even though I am feeling better today, and I had great plans to get a lot done, my husband convinced me that I still need to take it easy for the rest of the day. By the way, doctor said everything looked good.:)

As I am not watching TV, I decided to window shop online for my bento reward. I know. I am only 5 days into this challenge but you can bet the first moment the 30 days are over I am getting online and ordering my first real bento. So here are my first bentos I am considering.

This is the laptop bento. Very practical and if I was shopping for LL's lunch, I might consider this but I want a bento more authentic. More Japanese.

Maybe like this.................................

Multicolored three tiered bento. Very cute and can be bought for around $35. I like this a lot and am thinking maybe this is the one. That is until I saw

This one........................................

This is a two tiered bento. Very authentic. I think the wood is beautiful. It looks like the right size. This is what it looks like inside.

I really think this is the one. It cost just under $35. There is one problem. There is just one left in stock. So by the time I am ready to order in about 3 weeks, it will probably be gone. But I know myself and will not order early. I will so not follow through with the challenge if I don't have this carrot spurring me on. Oh the games I have to play on myself. Well I will just keep looking. Who knows, maybe there is even a better one out there with my name on it.

Hi
I have just read your blog from start to finish, you have a great writing style :) and a great outlook on life.
Good luck with your challenge, your bento lunches look fantastic,I haven't really seen them before but would love to have a go at creating something like that.
PS - Love your black and white chicken :)

There's a better one waiting for you in three weeks, I'm sure! Glad you're feeling well and the doctor likes what he sees.

I like the last bento best, authentic, it will just plain make you feel better to eat from it. And, if it's gone, there will be a better one out there to choose. Down the road be sure to get LL one for his lunches. You may have to put it in a paper bag in order for him to take it to work. Love your tunes.
